We just unpacked the first of our brand new RED ONE cameras. To say that the excitement at Rule/Boston Camera is high is to undervalue this camera's potential. We are ecstatic! RED jump-starts our push into the high-end Digital Cinema market.

Digital Cinema truly delivers electronic aquisition into the filmmakers' world while never leaving the instant gratification of broadcast video behind. The RED ONE is capable of recording resolutions up to 4096x2304 directly onto flash cards or an attached hard drive. With its PL lens mount and single Super 35-sized CMOS sensor, the RED ONE works wonderfully with our large inventory of film lenses and accesories.

As with all the equipment we rent, we intend to offer extraordinary support to our rental clients. With this exciting new technology, there's a lot to learn in order to meet the high standards you expect from us. And we take these standards very seriously.

Taking advantage of the combined experience of Rule and Boston Camera Rental, our plan is to dissect the RED camera and all possible workflows available in order to bring the footage from capture through post production. We'll be looking at everything from how to properly configure Boston Camera's wide selection of film lenses and Arriflex accessories, to transferring and editing the footage on the latest nonlinear solutions provided by Rule. Rest assured, the moment the camera is ready, you'll hear about it!
